I wasn't sure exactly what to bring (I had been wracking my brain for weeks trying to figure it out), so I made the decision to basically create the most honest representation of the shop that I could. That means I brought a little of everything!
Instead of bringing a heavy concentration of jewellery or artwork like I was tempted to do, I set up my booth on Parliament St. to look exactly like a small shop; the amount of positive feedback was incredible:
"Your booth is so unique!" and "This looks like a little shop; I love it!" were heard time and again.
The most popular items were probably the $1 souvenir spoons (pictured), but I'm so pleased that I sold a little of everything, including the furniture! It was interesting to watch the booth transform over the course of the festival, what with needing to find new spots for the smaller items, and all.
I'm so glad we persevered! We ended up having a great time, and even though certain things didn't go my way, I'm pretty darn sure I'll do it again next year.
